David Hockney created his first joiner by accident in 1970. His earlier collages consisted of grid-like compositions made up of polaroid photographs.It was a collage of many photos of different parts of the same scene put together to recreate it in a collage. Creates a narrative or abstract view of a scene. He used Polaroid photos then moved to film photos.
